Today's internet marketing is a special blend - unique to each business - of online community and media.
Online marketing is more permanent than traditional marketing
As with any marketing, a good strategy means achieving the right results. One of the biggest differences with online marketing vs. traditional is permanence- much of it can't be undone, so a real understanding of the options and how and when to use them is critical.
Make sure you have the resources to continue your online marketing efforts
Online marketing is not rocket science, but it's time consuming. So working your online strategy into your marketing plan is important so that you don't find yourself changing careers...to blogger or videographer!
Malaga Corp. helps you develop and work your online marketing strategy - to make sure you're choosing the vehicles that will produce results long term:
The world of SEO is an ever-changing one. Search engines change their search algorithms constantly and without notice or explanation, leaving SEO experts to "figure it out."
Honesty is the best policy
Malaga Corp.'s philosophy is to develop an honest website. Most search engine rules are made to try to spot honest content, so rather than spend time making your site seem like it's relevant - just make it relevant and you'll automatically achieve many SEO goals.
Content and keywords
If your content is exactly what your target market is looking for you've achieved the most important thing. Make sure that you include the words they're likely to search for, but don't overdo it - it's important to get people to your site through the use of keyword rich content - but turning the sale is equally important. Annoyed readers won't read for long.
Meta tag importance has been debated for years. Major search engines have ignored some tags, while others are still critical.
Meta keywords are largely ignored and while there's no sense in spending too much time on them, we believe that for now it's prudent to include them, following the same rules as always (well targeted, small amount of keywords; honest representation of content) because 1. smaller search engines may still use them and 2. things change. Some camps feel this is a clue to your competition about what keywords you are targeting. If this is a true concern, adjust them or leave them out.
The title tag is still critical and we recommend its use. Our content manager allows you to enter unique title tags on every page.
The description meta tag is also still important. Search engines may not acknowledge it in searching, but it may be used in the search results, so it should be good marketing copy - a good call to action.
