The right words are half the battle, and how they are presented is the other. To help your audience get the most from your communication, the design of your presentation should be thoughtfully planned and effectively carried out. Here are 2 examples of the same message:

New licenses are subject to approval of other city departments (including Current Planning, Codes & Inspection, and Health & Human Services). The basis for computation of the tax (gross receipts, gross payroll, value added) depends on the type of business (retail, wholesale, service manufacturing, nonprofit).
